NovoSkinTM                 Clinical                 Easy Application Synthetic Epidermis                 Biodegradable Temporising Matrix		A wounds management company developing novel skin regeneration products NovoSkinTM is a Joint Venture company between PolyNovo and Dr John Greenwood's private company Skin. The company will initially focus on development and early stage clinical evaluation of two products prior to seeking a commercial partner. The first generation products are aimed at recognised unmet clinical needs and utilise the novel features of NovoSorbTM. These targets were selected as they can be moved into patient relatively quickly, but generations of more advanced wound healing and skin regenerations are planned. The first product is an Easy Application Synthetic Epidermis (EASE) designed for use in superficial skin loss situations. In the home or Emergency Room, it envisaged it would find use to treat abrasions, superficial burns and minor cuts. Also EASE could be used postoperatively following cosmetic procedures and for the local delivery of aesthetic agents. The second target is a Biodegradable Temporising Matrix (BTM) which will be used to treat full thickness skin injuries such as burns and trauma. It is expected that the novel product design will modify the scar response and as such may find application in plastic and cosmetic surgical procedures. NovoskinTM aims to participate in the estimated $4 billion market for traditional and advanced wound management products.
